installazione vag-com 704.1 clone...info...

ciao a tutti ragazzi,
mi è appena arrivato un cavo 704.1 clone e mi sto accingendo ad installarlo. ho seguito la guida di edo ma già ai primi passaggi non mi torna qualcosa...

è scritto che quando si installa il SW vag-com, zonealarma blocca i lfile "dll.exe", ma a me non lo fa, e soprattutto non ho trovato nessun file dll.exe...e questo è il primo problema...

ho provato anchr ad aprire il SW, ho verificato che fosse la versione giusta, ma zonealarma non mi blocca nessuna connessione del file "vagcom.exe"

quindi le cose sono 2...o ho scaricato un SW che non va bene (ma non credo...) o ho zone alarma non settato bene...NB, ho la versione free appena aggiornata...

suggerimenti? non vorrei spaccare tutto subito...

io ho installato sw, cavo, ecc...il vag-com 704.1 mi rileva correttamente il cavo e tutto il resto, ho fatto la mia vaggata, ma non mi scrive i codici nuovi...subito, quando premevo "Do IT!" stava lì qualche secondo e la finestra dei codici si chiudeva, però, andando a vedere il nuovo codice, rimaneva lo stesso di prima...

poi, da un momento all'altro, quando premo "do IT!" mi esce il messaggio "serve un vag registrato per questa funzione" (in inglese) e non fa + nulla...
nelle centraline ci entra e legge i vari codici, ma quando è ora di scriverli o entrare in alcuni menù, mi viene fuori quel pop-up.

l'ho già rotto?

niente, pare che l'abbia già rotto...quando lo collego al PC mi dice che c'è una nuova periferica usb, non lo riconosce con rosstech...
il problema è che con il vag-com revival manco me lo riconosce che è attaccato...

con un pò di fai da te forse ci sono riuscito...

ho seguito in parte questa guida:

Step1: Please ensure that you have installed the VAG-COM software.

Step2: Plug your disabled cable to the USB. There maybe be a pop-up window to indicate you to install the driver, for damaged cable, let it be, skip it.

Step3: Right click "my computer", select " hardware", then "device manager", then "Other device", the " USB device".

Step4: Right click "USB device", select "properties", select " detail", there will be a line information displayed. VID_xxxx & PID_xxxx, please write down the 4 letters or number for VID and PID.

Step5: Unplug the cable, select"RT-USB.inf or VAGUSB.inf" in installation folder ex: "c:\ross-tech\vag-com\"

Step6: In item [RossTechHw], please add one more line as " %USB\VID_xxxx&PID_xxxx.DeviceDesc%=RT-USB,USB\VID_xxxx&PID_xxxx", please ensure the four number or alphabets are the same as the ones you write down in step 4.

Step7: In the end of the text, add one more line as " USB\VID_xxxx&PID_xxxx.DeviceDesc="VAG-COM Compatible USB Interface", the four numbers or alphabets are also the same as the ones you write down in step4.

Step8: Save "RT-USB.inf" file and then exit.

Step9: Unplug the cable, and then plug the cable to the USB port. System will indication found new hardware, and will pop up window for driver update. If do not have the pop up window, let it be, Right click "my computer", select " hardware", then "device manager", then "Other device", then right click "USB device", select update drive.

Step10: Let the driver point to installation folder ex: "c:\ross-tech\vag-com\"

Step11: System will search the drive for several seconds, then it will indicate that find the driver and then install it.

Step12: Open the software "vidpidfix.exe" i sent you. Click "search", there will be indication two lines of information. First " found one device", second "0".

Step13: Click "0", then click "open", the information will be displayed in he blank dialogue. Click "write default EE data", if success, there will be a pop up information " wirte successful". Then click "ok" and exit.

Step14: Unplug cable and then plug cable.

Step15: Just as the step 10, update the drive and let the file point to installation folder ex: "c:\ross-tech\vag-com\". There will be a indictaion information that it install completrly.

step16: Open the file" Mprog2.8_setup.exe". Click" device" and then"scan", if above steps are all well done, there will be information " find one device".

Step17: Use Mprog2.8.exe to open file " genius vag com ept.ept" . Then click "erase", if succeed, there will be a information " successful", and then click " program" , if succeed, there will be a informtion " Programmed Serial Number : Disabled "

Step18: Your computer can recognize the cable now and your cable is ready to use.

sono arrivato fino a reinstallare i driver, per un errore di battitua non mi riconosceva il file .inf, ora l'ho fatto andare. ho reinstallato i driver e poi ho provato con il vag-com revival, che priman on mi riconosceva + il cavo...dopo avere reinstallato i driver me l'ha riconosciuto e l'ha resuscitato...
l'ho staccato e riattaccato e mi ha chiesto di reinstallare i driver, così li ho reinstallato (quelli modificati con le 2 stringe sopra), ho riaperto il SW e me lo riconosce...

devo poi vedere se funziona...

ma come mai me l'ha rotto subito? ho navifato in qualche menù e fatto una vaggata, tutto scollegato da internet...è proprio un baracchino del cavolo...

possono esserci tanti motivi

versioni di software già installato in precedenza e che non hai cancellato del tutto, il fatto che zone alarm non ti bloccava niente ti lascia presagire chè c'è qualcosa che non va, un virus forse??
chissà!

poi come ben sai leggendo qua e la anche in questo forum riprogrammare la sola eprom è un finto ripristino, quando l'eprom si sprogramma devi riprogrammare anche l'atmega, con i vari programmi iun rete tipo il revival servono solo per l'eprom.
